Nanny References and Past Employment Verification:

 

Once you've narrowed it down to 2-3 great nanny contenders, call their references. Ask former employers about the nanny's strengths and weaknesses and why they're no longer using her. Don't skip this step — you'll want to hear how she has and hasn't worked out for other families.  The following page offers sample reference check questions.
